I wanted to talk to everyone about loving yourself and your body. What made me write this post was from experience with society while hanging out with my friends. I have been overweight most of my life. I was always the bigger kid. Growing up, I would get called "Fat Ass" and or "Big Girl". I thought that it would stop later on in my life but, it has not. Going to the mall with friends, guys would say "We are trying to get with your skinny friends not you fat ass." And recently for the first time I herd "Your friends with skinny people which makes you look fatter and uglier." I am not going to lie, it all hurts. Most people ask why I don't have confidence and it is because, if you get called all these names and get told this stuff mostly everyday your confidence will lower.
Moving on to my friends experience with society is dealing with her chest. My friend is a beautiful, healthy and a talented girl. She does not have a big chest. She posted a gorgeous photo of her on Facebook and her friends were calling her perfect etc. Then, a random guy commented "I don't know why all these people are lying to you. You are not perfect. You need to get a boob job." As I watched my friend read the comment she broke into tears from hurt. Basically I realized. We are never going to be what society wants. Society rules are messed up and love yourself because, society won't matter when love yourself just the way you are.
